8. Rodan Lives!

And don't worry: the trailer sure didn't forget about Rodan, the magma-plated, dinosaur-like bird monster that lives inside a volcano.

We get treated to an absolutely eye-meltingly gorgeous visage of Rodan triumphantly spreading its massive wings atop a volcano, as some military jets close in on its location.

It's also worth noting that an earlier shot seems to indicate that Rodan is woken from his slumber by a large explosive charge placed on the volcano, perhaps in an attempt to render it active and force him out onto the surface of the Earth

Whatever the result of Rodan stirring to life, it's going to take some effort to put him back in the box (assuming Godzilla doesn't kill him, of course).
