Golden Raspberry Awards 2015: Predicting The "Winners" In Each Category

8. Worst Remake, Rip-Off Or Sequel - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Also nominated: Annie, Atlas Shrugged #3: Who Is John Galt?, The Legend Of Hercules, Transformers: Age Of Extinction Few people with any sense of taste and style when it comes to movies were expecting Transformers: Age Of Extinction to be anything different to how it turned out - this far into the franchise, audiences know what to expect. Equally, the prospect of a pointless Annie remake and a completely unnecessary Hercules movie hardly instilled enthusiasm for the arrival of these projects, while the previous instalments of Atlas Shrugged signposted a continuing trainwreck for Part 3. Hopes were higher (if not necessarily high) for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - after all, before this came out there was always a chance that filmmakers might have truly captured the spirit of the source material. With Michael Bay producing, this wasn't to be - what audiences got was a clone of a Bay movie; incoherent, reliant on over the top effects and featuring terrible performances across the board. For shattering countless childhood memories yet again, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fully deserves to win a Razzie this year.
