3. 'Good Will Hunting' Is the Only Remaining Proof That Damon Is More Talented Than Affleck
Once upon a time it was quite common to believe that Matt Damon was far more talented than his on and off screen friend, Ben Affleck. Affleck went from 'Good Will Hunting' to Michael Bay movies and a relationship that intrigued Hollywood tabloids. Besides a few good Kevin Smith movies, Affleck could simply not be taken seriously. Audiences laughed it up as he attempted action in movies like 'Paycheck' and 'The Sum of All Fears' and simply embarrassed himself in movies like 'Gigli' and 'Daredevil (I'll never admit it sober, but I actually like both of those movies...woops...).' However, now that Affleck has stepped behind the camera and created three near masterpieces, the world sings a different tune. Now, Damon is the one who may need to catch up with his friend. Damon has yet to step behind the camera despite a public interest and his films have never been more than moderately successful to absolute disasters like 'Green Zone.' Unless he's working with franchise material like an 'Ocean's' movie or 'Bourne' film, but one of those franchises is dead and the other has moved on from Damon. Bet he's missing those 'Good Will Hunting' days. It's the only remaining proof that he's the more talented Boston wonder boy. But, don't worry ladies and gents, there's always enough room for two great filmmakers.
