Gore Verbinski says 'western storytelling has run it's course'

And if you ask me so has the current incarnation of Pirates of the Caribbean.

I love comments like these. Ya know, when the kettle calls the pot black, type comments. The kind when George Lucas called Spider-Man 3 'silly'. Variety have an interesting quotes from director Gore Verbinski who spoke of his love for Asian films and their way of storytelling, and he came up with this amazing quote...

"Western storytelling has run its course in a way; there's a lot to be learned (in Asia),"
Now I do like your work Gore and I would just love to see you work on Prince of Persia for Disney but after watching 3 hours of complete confusing and ridiculous storytelling that was Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End... you should stay away from comments like that.
