3. His Relationship With Groot

In its own special way, this little and large relationship between tiny raccoon and giant tree-person is going to be adorable. Groot is described in the trailer as having been "travelling recently as Rocket's personal house plant slash muscle" which sounds as though, despite the massive size differential, the little guy is the one in charge in this relationship. More awesomely, there's a scene in the trailer (see above) in which Rocket is perched on Groot's shoulder, with a gun almost as big as his own body, shooting bad guys. This combative teamwork is likely to be the highlight of the movie, as the raccoon and the humanoid tree tag-team to kick some serious ass. If we thought the Tony Stark/Bruce Banner, Thor/Jane Foster and Captain America/Agent Coulson interactions were cute, this is going to blow our collective minds.
