6. Rocket Raccoon - Peter Dinklage
Easily the most amusing character and prime source of comic relief in the series is Rocket Raccoon, the anthropomorphised raccoon who is, in fact, both a master strategist and an adept marksman as well as retaining usual raccoon "abilities" such as heightened senses of smell and sight. He is the
de facto leader of the Guardians whenever Star-Lord is not available, and despite his diminutive size, is one of its most vital and revered members. Casting the role is difficult given that we don't yet know whether Rocket Raccoon is going to be CGI, a guy in a suit, or a mixture of the two, but whatever decision is made, there's one actor who will be a fantastic fit, and that's Peter Dinklage, a dwarf actor who has forged a fantastic career with unforgettable roles in The Station Agent and also Game of Thrones. It's difficult to imagine any other actor pulling off the role half as well, and it'll give Dinklage an opportunity to play something completely off the hook and unrestrained, given some of his more serious portrayals recently.
