8. Nebula Chases Down Gamora

Nebula is going to be playing a much bigger part in this movie than she did in the first, which is definitely a good thing. Karen Gillan is a real talent, for starters, plus the character was underused in the first movie, and the familial issues and sibling rivalry that exists between Nebula and Gamora is ripe for further exploration.

While we will eventually see Nebula come to work with the Guardians and join the team in a more official capacity (something that will last through Infinity War by the looks of it), there's still a bit of a sisterly scrap to be had first, which might be putting it lightly.

We get to see Nebula piloting the Milano, which in itself is pretty cool, but then realise that she's actually chasing down Gamora in the spaceship, to the point of driving her off the cliff. It's not a one-sided affair though, because Gamora is packing some weaponry of her own in this fight: namely a huge-ass gun that looks capable of doing a lot of damage.
