6. Guardians Inferno

The tracklist for Awesome Mix Vol. 2 has finally been revealed, and once again it's a doozy of classics, forgotten gems, and way-outside-the-box numbers that should make for a wonderfully eclectic mix of songs throughout the movie.

While they're all to be anticipated, given how much the music tied into the first movie and its use in elevating certain scenes, there's one in particular that stands out: Guardians Inferno.

If it doesn't sound familiar, that's because it's a new song written specifically for the movie, with the lyrics coming from James Gunn himself. It's performed by The Sleepers, and is essentially a theme song, but of course the interesting bit is that it features none other than David Hasselhoff, a childhood idol of Peter Quill's. And what role does the Hoff serve in this song?

He raps.

He raps about Star-Lord.

This is actually a thing, and it is, somehow, glorious.
