19. There May Well Be A Link To Adam Warlock
The interviewers who took part in the set visit picked up on the relationship between Ayesha and Adam Warlock in the comics: both were created by the Enclave (she came after him as their second attempt). When asked whether this new Sovereign race could be where Adam Warlock would come from as well (since he appeared in "pod form" in the first movie), Gunn was enigmatic but didn't say no, saying instead that it's totally possible since they both "come from pods".
This is certainly very interesting given the rumours that Peter Dinklage may be playing Pip the Troll - the long-time sidekick of Warlock in the comics. Could this mean that we'll see a cameo by Dinklage at the end of the film (in the post-credits), leading into Warlock appearing in Infinity War?
He was a key part of that comic arc, after all...
