12. Yondu's Conscience

For the sake of the final revelation that Yondu considers himself to be Peter Quill's real daddy (NO, YOU'RE CRYING!!), him having an attack of conscience about what Ego was doing with his kid cargo is a necessary point. It also proves that he's not actually a fully bad guy, even if he's a little too turned on by money.

And this is all well and good, but that pile of children's skulls was hundreds and hundreds deep under Ego's lair. If he was going to eventually be concerned enough about the cargo to look into their fates, why did he wait until so many of them had been killed already?
