Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2: Secret Cut 6th Post-Credits Scene Revealed
Because five apparently wasn't enough at first...
If you left your screening of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 thinking the end credits sequence could have done with a little more content, you probably live a life full of perpetual dissatisfaction and disappointment. The credits featured cameos, sight gags and an unprecedented five mid- and post-credits scenes, with gags and potential teases for the future of the MCU, and they are the definition of the right kind of reward for sitting through the endless cast and crew name-scroll.
Still, we could have had more, according to James Gunn, who has revealed to USA Today that a sixth scene was ultimately cut. It featured Gamora and Mantis talking in their new ship when they're suddenly interrupted by the blood-curdling screams of Gef the Ravager (Steve Agee):
We realize that Gef has been on the ship the entire time mortally wounded.

So why wasn't it included? According to Gunn...
It ended up being a little confusing.

That sounds about correct: for it to work, you'd have to accept that the Guardians didn't look around their new ship fully, which is a bit of a suspension of disbelief too far.
Gef isn't really a major player in the film, but he sticks out thanks to his glorious thick glasses. He's also one of Taserface's loyalists who helps capture Rocket, Yondu and Baby Groot - as well as one of the ones who tortures the unfortunate little fella for the Ravagers' entertainment. We see him "killed" by Yondu's arrow during the excellent prison break sequence that debuts Yondu's new fin.
How he could possibly have survived that remains to be seen, and to confuse things so wilfully just for a gag was probably too much.
