It's a freaking Guardians of the Galaxy movie, so of course there's going to be space battles!

For a moment we can see Star-Lord piloting the Milano as hundreds of enemy ships give chase, but he cleverly manage to maneuver then to collide into one another, causing a massive series of explosions as he attempts to escape.
