Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3: 12 Songs That Must Be On Awesome Mix Vol. 3

9. Lou Reed – Satellite Of Love (1972)

Googly eyes and pelvic sorcery aside, Star-Lord and Gamora’s complicated relationship will likely continue to be an “unspoken thing” rather than an actual thing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

If you’re a fan of Marvel comics, this will come as no surprise as you’ll already be aware of Gamora’s romantic connections with Richard Rider (aka Nova) and Adam Warlock – who appeared as a gold-encrusted cocoon in one of Vol. 2's post-credit scenes.

This is where Lou Reed and David Bowie’s Satellite of Love comes into play, with its incandescent instrumental arrangement, handclapping and incredible backing vocals, this song describes feelings of the worst kind of jealousy.

Don't worry; our naïve shipper hearts are broken too.
