Guttenberg back for POLICE ACADEMY 8 & THREE MEN AND A BRIDE!

No this is not a joke post where I'm about to show you a Youtube mash up of Steve Guttenberg being, well Steve Guttenberg. This is actually a serious news post. I think. Guttenberg this week has told the British Press that he is in talks for a new POLICE ACADEMY movie AND a third movie in the THREE MEN AND A... franchise. Guttenberg has being doing Pantomine in the U.K. so the precedent for a crap joke may have played it's part in these comments but well, he did say these things. To The Sun regarding new POLICE ACADEMY...

€œWe are doing a new movie and it is going to be great fun," he said. "A script is being written and so far it is really great, everyone from the original movies who is still around will return.€ €œI know Kim and Sharon have been asked but they haven€™t said yes yet. It would be really great to have them onboard.€
Kim being Kim Cattrall who appeared in the very first movie and Sharon being Sharon Stone, who will star in anything these days. Ya see, this just sounds like he is taking the piss to see how much a Guttenberg return would spark up in the news outlets. Saying everyone who is still around from the first movies will return just seems to be such a nice and convenient thing to say. The last POLICE ACADEMY was no. 7 in 1994 and Guttenberg last appeared in the franchise with no. 4 in 1987. And well, almost unbelievably he says in the same interview...
€œTom Selleck, Ted Danson and I are looking to make another Three Men And A Baby movie. It€™s called Three Men and A Bride. The script is pretty much written and we are really keen to get that made. We€™re very hopeful.€
Now I loved 3 MEN AND A BABY, I actually think it's the first romantic comedy that I ever worked for me. I'm being deadly serious, I grew up with this film and the Selleck, Danson & Guttenberg combination always worked. I would love to see these guys work together again but how can you take Guttenberg's comments seriously these days?
