That Guy From That Movie: 10 Unsung Character Actors

1. Xander Berkeley

Xander Berkeley Xander Berkeley is a busy man, to put it lightly. Since making his big screen debut back in 1981, the 58 year-old has amassed well over 200 credits in film, television and voice-over work. As well as making countless guest appearances in seemingly every TV show from The A-Team to Justified via The X-Files, The West Wing and 24, the list of well-known movies in which he has a role is nothing short of mind-blowing. To justify why Xander Berkeley takes top spot as the ubiquitous 'that guy from that movie', here is just a sample of the recognizable features in which he can be spotted from the last few decades; Sid & Nancy, Internal Affairs, The Grifters, Terminator 2, Candyman, A Few Good Men, Apollo 13, Leaving Las Vegas, Heat, Air Force One, Gattaca, Amistad, Shanghai Noon, Taken, Kick-Ass and Transcendence. Believe me, that is just the tip of the iceberg. Despite a resume filled with popular movies, the actor isn't a well-known name in his own right, which is why he takes the top spot in the list. It's pretty much a guarantee that if you have watched a popular television show or been to the movies at any point in the last four decades, you will have seen Xander Berkeley at least twice. The guy is everywhere!

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
