6. Bob Gunton

Best known for his role as the tyrannical Warden Norton in The Shawshank Redemption, Bob Gunton's career has usually seen him appear as a supporting player, either as a strict figure of authority or a doctor of some form. Despite this apparent typecasting, the actor's resume is a lot more eclectic than you would think. In a rare feat for an actor featured in an article titled 'that guy from that movie', Gunton has appeared in no less than four movies that were nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards; Born on the Fourth of July, JFK, The Shawshank Redemption and Argo. As well as these prestige pictures, Gunton has also appeared in box office hits Patch Adams, Demolition Man, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Broken Arrow and The Perfect Storm. Bob Gunton's career has generally seen him play the same kind of role, but he has done so in every genre from big-budget action to independent comedy. However, even parts in other critical favorites such as Glory, I Heart Huckabees and The Lincoln Lawyer will never hide the fact that he was in Boat Trip, one of the worst movies ever made.
