Continuing its international rollout this week, Happy Death Day is already becoming one of the year's biggest indie successes.

Made for a mere $5 million, the latest horror film to come out of the ultra-successful Blumhouse Productions stable grossed an insane $26.5 million in its opening weekend, and will continue to multiply its budget many times over in the coming weeks.

It's also been reviewing surprisingly well for the most part, and though the majority of critics have basically given it an easy three stars, that's essentially fine for a movie that, while fun, doesn't even begin to reach the full potential of its premise.

If you're craving another time loop movie with a few interesting ideas of its own, though, you could certainly do much worse, and it'll be interesting to see whether or not its success will result in a glut of unnecessary sequels being quickly churned out. Time will tell...
