4. Bud And Lou
It might be a risky call and especially for the universe that we’re going to be revisiting but one of the most fun and weird little parts of Harley’s character is something that originated from Batman Adventures: Mad Love #1.
Bud and Lou are Harley and Joker’s pet hyenas (named after comedy duo Abbott and Costello) who have not only aided the pair in committing crimes but have crossed over into other shows like Krypto the Superdog.
Sure it would be a little strange to have them appear in the DCEU but Harley has had some great interactions with them in the past, and it's not like she isn't strange herself. During the Death Of The Family storyline The Joker even turned the hyenas rabid and set them on Harley and she was left with no choice but to kill the pets she raised since they were pups.
It’d be difficult to get away with but if done properly it could potentially be one of the best references to Harley’s backstories.
