Professor McGonagall was a constant rock for Harry throughout the series, especially in Dumbledores times of absence and eventual death. The daughter of Muggle Reverend Robert McGonagall and witch Isobel Ross, Minerva was part of a mixed-blood family, though the problem was that her dad had no clue that witches and wizards even existed until after she was born.
