Harry Potter: 12 Wands That Perfectly Reflect Their Owners

Before his obsession with the Elder Wand, Lord Voldemort himself carried one of the most unique and symbolic wands seen in the series.

Adam Brockbank, previously mentioned concept designer, created Voldemort's wand. He said, "I had this idea that it was carved to resemble a bone, probably a human one. The tapered tip leads to a thicker section, where you can see the honeycomb of the bone. That comes to a 'knuckle joint,' and then there's a hook on the end, like a claw, which Ralph Fiennes actually tucks around his little finger. It's quite an evil shape."

A legend of cinema exists which suggests that Fiennes himself requested that the hook be added, finally helping him to hold and use the wand in an even more sinister way, solidifying his portrayal of one of the most frightening villains in recent family-film history.

Whether you love this design or think it doesn't fit so well among the traditional expectations seen in the series, there is no denying that this wand simply oozes the characteristics of its owner.
