12. Aberforth Dumbledore
Aberforth followed his brother in the first Order of the Phoenix, and was the reason Severus Snape didn’t hear the full prophecy concerning Harry and Voldemort. Upon realising Snape was listening to a conversation between Albus and Sybill Trelawney, Aberforth threw the Slytherin out before he could learn the full details.
Though the character believed that Voldemort had already won the second wizarding war, and that the Order were fooling themselves if they thought they could win, he did watch over Harry through Sirius’ two way mirror. This allowed him to dispatch Dobby to Malfoy Manor, saving Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
His greatest contribution to the second wizarding war was the secret passage between the Hog’s Head and Hogwarts. Through this he managed to feed the students while Snape and the Carrows ran the school, and gave Harry and the rest of the Order their entry for the final battle.
Aberforth’s faith in the cause might have faltered toward the end, but ultimately he aided the Order greatly, and fought as one of them in the Battle of Hogwarts.
