Harry Potter and Buffy Summers have to take on plenty of villainous characters throughout their adventures, and they both have to deal with a blonde-haired nemesis who has a knack for causing trouble.
From the moment Draco Malfoy arrives at Hogwarts, he swaggers about the place, bullies the other students, and boasts about his family’s heritage. But despite joining up with Voldemort later on, his loyalties are rooted in fear more than anything else. Along with his mother and father, he simply runs away during the final conflict.
Like Draco, Spike arrives on the scene with an abundance of arrogance. But as time goes on, he starts to change as well. And by the time we get to the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he’s completely different from the man who arrived in Sunnydale back in Season Two.
