There are many parallels between Harry Potter and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Both stories are – at their core – fantastical coming-of-age tales, and both sets of characters spend plenty of time manoeuvring through the trials and tribulations of adolescence.
Unfortunately, Harry and Buffy also have to deal with a teacher who hates them with a passion. Though Professor Umbridge is the more irritating of the two, Principal Snyder isn’t much better.
