The wizarding world of Harry Potter is filled with characters who want to use power for their own evil intentions.
Throughout the eight Harry Potter movies and the three Fantastic Beasts films, we've seen plenty of wizards who are fascinated by the Dark Arts and power over Mugglekind.
Lord Voldemort, the big villain of the Harry Potter series, was obsessed with power. A descendant of Salazar Slytherin, Voldemort is one the most powerful wizards of all time, He wanted to harness dark magic to take control and he wanted to rid the word world of Muggle born witches and wizards. Not afraid to kill those who stood in his way, Voldemort went to the lengths of splitting his soul to prolong his life.
Before him there was Grindelwald, who also wanted dominion over Muggles. Collecting a loyal band of followers who believed in his message, it would take the magical ability of Dumbledore to bring Grindelwald down.
Though Grindelwald and Lord Voldemort might be the ultimate villains of the wider franchise, they weren't the only ones. With others wanting to help them in their quest, we met plenty of other witches and wizards who weren't always part of the good guys.
