Harry Potter: Ranking Every Death Eater From Worst To Best
5. Lucius Malfoy
As horrible, and as warped as Draco Malfoy's views were on the Wizarding World, and the perceived difference between the pure bloods of his family and the rest who were 'beneath' him, it all stemmed from his upbringing. It all came from his vile father, Lucius.
No one believed in the values put forward by the Dark Lord more so than Mr. Malfoy. He was constantly looking down his nose at those not born pure blood, and even some that were like the Weasleys. He was even just seconds away from killing Harry after he set Dobbie free.
Held in high regard by Lord Voldemort, his skill and resources were utilised well. Lucius slipped Ginny Weasley Tom Riddle's diary in the Chamber of Secrets, and was chosen by his master to lead the attack on the Order of the Phoenix in the battle of the Department of Mysteries. This, however, proved to be an unwise choice. Draco's father was defeated relatively easily by Harry and Sirius and destroyed the Prophecy he was sent to retrieve.
After a stint in Azkaban, Lucius returned a shell of himself, and followed Voldemort simply through fear, before fleeing with his family during the Battle of Hogwarts after Harry's return from the dead.
