Harry Potter & The Cursed Child: 18 Biggest WTF Moments

2. The Casual Use Of The Imperius Curse

Imagine, for a moment, the joy of living as a wizard in a retirement home. You enjoy the same sanctity that old Muggles enjoy, getting away with outrageous behaviour because you're from another generation, but with the added bonus of still having your magical abilities.

Now imagine the hell of being a nurse there: perpetually terrorised by ageing witches and wizards without their complete faculties and with too much time on their hands for mischief. Take this horrifying stage direction, for instance:

"Zimmer frames are conjured into life, knitting wool is enchanted into chaos, and male nurses are made to dance the tango.
These are people relieved of the burden of having to do magic for a reason — instead, these witches and wizards do magic for fun. And what fun they have."

MADE TO DANCE THE TANGO. They're literally using the Imperius Curse on people charged with looking after them.

These people are potentially the most dangerous criminals in the Wizarding World.
