Harry Potter: Where Are They Now - Dumbledore’s Army?

They all had to leave Hogwarts at some point.

Throughout out Harry Potter's eight movies, there were countless incredible moments that were vitally important to the development of the titular character. One of these came in The Order of the Phoenix, when Harry began teaching his fellow students in the absence of real Defence Against the Dark Arts lessons.

Many of his class mates signed up, and affectionately called themselves Dumbledore's Army, and almost like a mini version of the Order, helped greatly in the fight against Voldemort during the Battle of Hogwarts. Every one of these characters is instantly recognisable, but what happened to the actors and actresses once the franchise was finished?

Most actors in a franchise like this will simply carry on about their career, however Dumbledore's Army was made up entirely of child actors, some of which had been playing their particular role since before they were teenagers. For most of them, Harry Potter was their only acting credit, meaning they had no real gauge on the movie industry outside of these movies.

While some of of the wizarding group have taken a step away from the acting business since the fall of Lord Voldemort, some have gone on to much bigger and better things.

12. Afshan Azad And Shefali Chowdhury (Padma And Parvati Patil)

Two characters that had rarely came to the forefront of the Harry Potter story, but were always around in the background were Padma and Parvati Patil. The two Gryffindors were Harry and Ron's dates to the Yule Ball during the Triwizard Tournament, and both joined Dumbledore's Army when it was established during Umbridge's reign at Hogwarts.

The two actresses themselves have done very little on screen since the Harry Potter franchise finished. Azad never particularly aspired to be an actress, instead simply auditioned for the role for the fun of it, and though Chowdhury has been in a couple of short, independent films since, none ever achieved a full theatrical release.
