2. Buzz's "Girl"friend
Alright, you
will have seen this image. It
is in the movie after all and it's a pretty funny moment all told. However, when I tell you what I'm about to tell you, I guarantee that you'll look at the image in a whole new way. So strap in folks. Kevin's older brother, Buzz, has a girlfriend and although we never actually meet her in the story, we're gifted with a rather embarrassing photograph of her which Kevin quite rightly voices his distaste over. But here's the thing, the 'girl' in this picture isn't actually a girl at all, but a boy made up to look like a girl. Take another look at the image and now that you know, you'll instantly start to see it. This gender-swap was down to the fact that Director John Hughes decided that it'd be much too cruel to damage a young girl's self esteem by making fun of her in front of millions of braying audience members. Instead he opted for giving a young boy gender confusion issues. Ah, the magic of Hollywood.
