How The Flash Will Solve DC's Batman Problem
Robert Pattinson Becomes The Definitive Movie Batman
That brings us full circle and right back to the man whose new reign as DC's definitive Batman was threatened by the returns of two of his predecessors: Robert Pattinson.
Every Batman gets their chance to stand out and it wouldn't be fair for Pattinson to lose out on that because of the popularity of the returning stars who came before him, but The Flash is the key to avoiding that and allowing him to stand alone atop the food chain. And the ironic thing is that it doesn't even need to cross over with The Batman to make that happen.
With The Flash's introduction of the multiverse serving as the perfect means of writing Affleck out, introducing a Keaton that would serve as more of a mentor Bruce Wayne to the next generation of DCEU heroes would keep the Batman character on in both a significant and believable capacity without having him dominate any of those films. And thus, it also clears the playing field for Pattinson, allowing him to shine as Warner Bros.' sole headlining Batman.
