The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - 21 Distracting Revelations That Almost Ruin It
Having been out for a couple of weeks now, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has picked up a hefty box office return, as well as dazzling fans and critics. Crucially, it also swerved some of the more annoying mistakes of the first film, but that isn't to say that it is perfect. Multiple viewings of the film inevitably strip away some of the emotion of watching it brand new, and a few niggling observations start to ebb the initial hyperbolic reaction away somewhat. Now admittedly, this is possibly not the best way to watch films, but with any blockbuster or "tent-pole" release, the hype invites even greater scrutiny, and the pleasure of such grand events tends to be in the tiniest details. When you look incredibly hard at the film, there are a number of distracting revelations and plot-holes that almost combine to ruin the entire enjoyment of watching it.
