3. Moreau - Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance
I have a love/hate relationship with David S Goyer. His work on Nolan's Batman trilogy is outstanding, as is his writing on Man Of Steel and the first two Blade films. Blade Trinity, however, is an abomination which he not only wrote, but directed too. Anyone who gives birth to such an unmitigated disaster should never work in moving pictures again. Goyer delivers another stinker of a script in this decidedly feeble sequel to a feeble original. To compound matters it's directed by Neveldine and Taylor who've been on a pretty poor run of films since Crank in 2006. Big Driis plays a French Warrior Monk who likes a drop of red wine. I say "French", in truth Mr. Elba's accent roams right across Europe. At one point I'm pretty sure he rocks a Welsh twang. Moreau turns up at the beginning of the story and then disappears for 40 minutes. When his character returns he seems as bored as the rest of us, even my kneecaps were tutting at the stilted dialogue and the complete lack of a coherent narrative. Mr. Elba plays it like he's on a motorbiking tour of Eastern Europe which he's had to interrupt sporadically to fit in some acting. Everyone involved with this film should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
