No really. It's not April 1st for another couple of days yet.
The Hollywood Reporter say that British actor
Ray Winstone has signed on for a role in
Indiana Jones IV, apparently as
Harrison Ford's sidekick. I dearly hope, that the trade have got it completely wrong and the truth is Winstone has a role like Marcus Brody or Sallah from
Raiders of the Lost Ark (not the third movie, which treated those characters as a joke) and not a god damn sidekick. As it stands, we could potentially have
Cate Blanchett,
Shia LaBeouf, Ray Winstone,
Sean Connery (although he hasn't been confirmed for the movie yet) and Harrison Ford as a group of five adventurers. It's becoming more like
Scooby Doo. No doubt he is a talented actor, and I'm fine with him in the movie but please don't use him as a comedic secondary character like he was in
King Arthur. source -
