INDIANA JONES IV first full day total = $26 million

Well short of the record opening of Revenge of the Sith but still Mr. Lucas will be happy.

The estimated totals are in, the worst film on the filmography of Steven Spielberg - the mess that is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull earned a massive $26 million on it's opening full day of release in the U.S. Still, it's a long way off the $50 million+ opening day releases of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End. Fantasy Moguls also report that not as many fanboys rushed out to see the movie at midnight and the $4 million Wednesday night totals is said to be less than expected.

With it being a long holiday weekend, the movie is expected to run $150 million very close over the next five days if it keeps up the pace. The film is said to be enjoying some of the success from the fall out of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and has quickly become the family friendly number one choice for the weekend. This of course means big families and multiple ticket buys! source - /film
