Inglourious Basterds: 10 Things That Would Have Happened Afterwards

7. Germany Mourns The Death Of Its Most Famous Actress: Bridget Von Hammersmark

In the world of Inglourious Basterds, Bridget Von Hammersmark is depicted as one of the most famous actresses in Germany. As the news of her untimely (and rather mysterious) death (at the hands of Hans Landa) spreads across the country, Germany would have likely mourned the loss of one of its major film stars and moral would have dropped. Of course, the reason for her death - and her involvement in the downfall of Adolf Hitler - would remain undisclosed for many, many years; she would merely be considered an unfortunate victim - something akin to collateral damage - having attended the premiere of Nation's Pride as a guest of the Third Reich's upper echelon. The people of Germany would have been hugely disillusioned by Von Hammersmark's death at such a crucial time in war (and in history). Still, the nation would go on to remember Bridget for her iconic performance in the classic German film "Fräulein Doktor."
