7. Why Fly When You Can Skate?
The Iron Man movies have managed to show us some of the different armors Tony has worn over the years. The first movie gave us the classic prototype Tony built while being kept prisoner, as well as the classic suit. Then Iron Man 2 managed to adapt the suitcase armor in a way that was still very believable, and we also got War Machines Variable Threat Response Battle Suit. And from what weve seen so far of Iron Man 3, we know that were going to get an adaptation of Extremis, the Iron Patriot, Stealth Armor, Space Armor, and (the one that I had a nerdgasm over) the Hulkbuster Armor. We do know that well probably see even more than that, given the trailer and the posters showing what could potentially be dozens of Iron Man suits. But what
wont we see? My money is on this: The Ridiculous Roller-Skating Iron Man. Oh, the Silver Age So good in so many ways, but then you see something like this that just makes you wonder what they were thinking. In the early days, Tony preferred to zip about on jet-powered skates since his boot-jets didnt have much of a range. He even designed some for the military to use, which may have been the first sign that hed been drinking too much
Likelihood: Given how effective Iron Man is at flying, its highly doubtful Tony will decide to incorporate roller skates into any of the armors well be seeing in this movie.
