Iron Man 3: 10 Reasons Tony Stark Is A Terrible Hero

1. To Atone For Building Weapons He Becomes A Living Weapon

IRON MAN So Tony Stark doesn€™t want to make weapons anymore. He€™s a bad guy shown the underside of his actions and he€™s going to atone. His own company double crosses him and the deals under the table continue with the attack on poor, little Gulmira sending Stark over the edge. He becomes Iron Man as dispenses justice, stops the dealings and saves Gulmira from terrorists. What a real human being and a real hero. One key thing is overlooked. Let€™s look at the sequence of events. Tony escapes from his incident at the start of the film and announces Stark industries will no longer create weapons. He then begins work on the Mark II armour, keeping it secret from the company, which he builds through to the stage where he can happily fly around California and spy on children on Ferris Wheels. Then he learns of the Gulmira attack and sees that his entire suit, even the flight stabilisers, can be used as weapons to stop the terrorists, prompting him to become the hero. The entire time he was building this armour, however, he thought that Stark industries had stopped the underhanded dealings had stopped. So, if everything in the company was as Stark thought it was, why was he building the Iron Man armour? He already replaced the arc reactor in his chest so the only explanation is that he just fancied building himself a personal armoured, flying, weaponised suit. This slightly goes against his €˜not going to build any more weapons€™ motto. Do you agree or disagree with any of these reasons? Any other reasons Stark isn€™t a good hero? Or is all this just a massive understanding of the most popular Avenger of all? Leave a comment below!
