Iron Man 3: 10 Reasons Tony Stark Is A Terrible Hero

6. He Enters A Known Combat Zone

Iron Man 5 The attack on Gulmira, the home of Doctor Yinsen who saved his life at the start of the film, is used to complete Tony Stark€™s change from a man realising the error of his ways into a full-blown hero. With his weapons still being supplied to the Ten Rings as they attack innocent civilians, he dons his armour and flies out to liberate them, incapacitating enemy soldiers and looking damn good while firing a missile at a tank. The only problem is this is not the way to deal with a terrorist group. For starters, he only takes out a small group of people currently attacking Gulmira. There are still the group that Stane meets with later on, as well as the other members of what is alluded to be a large, powerful group (or else they€™d only be called the Two or Three Rings, I guess). There€™s also the unmentioned fact that an American citizen entered a known contact zone and attacked terrorists in a foreign country. This could, to put it lightly, have some ramifications for the United States but luckily Colonel Rhodes is there to back up his buddy by assuring the press €œthe United States government was not involved€. Good job nobody knows who Iron Man.... Damn it.
