3. Marvel Needs To Focus On Everyone Else
In the time that it's taken Marvel to make three Iron Man movies, we've had one Hulk reboot, one film each for Captain America and Thor (with one more on the way for both), and absolutely no films for Hawkeye or Black Widow. Granted, Iron Man was the golden ticket to starting up the machinery that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that's just it: it's a universe. A universe that's populated with tons of heroes just waiting to expand and flourish like Iron Man has. It's time that we started focusing more on everyone else, and letting Tony do his thing in the background. Now that's not to say that he can't crop up in other people's films and that's not saying that he can't be at the core of The Avengers 2. It's just saying that all of the time and care that went into making the Iron Man trilogy has served its purpose. It's time to wrap up the story, seal up the foundation, and let Tony Stark stand on his own in future projects. After all, The Hulk seriously needs a solo installment to give Mark Ruffalo his due, a Hawkeye/Black Widow film would be fun in a Mr. and Mrs. Smith sort of way, and Captain America and Thor are already so hotly awaited that Tumblr is going to explode the moment they actually have trailers. Have Tony show up every once in a while, and then make him a central figure in Phase 3: Civil War.
