2. Isolation No-No
Another problematic idea that has been paid too much heed in Iron Man 3, are the efforts to step away from the grandiose scale of Avengers Assemble and to strip Stark back to an ordinary man. It is impossible to believe that after previous events, the world just carries on and Stark is suddenly alone again. When Stark's house is being blown back to the stone-age, one can only assume that the rest of The Avengers and Nick Fury are too busy fannying about to come and help. Or maybe these answers are yet to come in the pending adventures? It is also frustrating to see all the wrong elements on show. For the purpose of the film adaptations, the formula so far for has been that Thor is a big fish in a small pond, Hulk deals with government paranoia and self-control, Captain America is the low-tech super spy and Iron Man the lavish motor mouth. Unfortunately for us, Black has chosen to try and condense ALL of these traits into the one character, and the end result is an uneven mix that does not bode well.
