photo (2) Another way the character of Tony Stark is taken in a completely different direction in Iron Man 3 is the unexpected bond he develops with a boy named Harley. After the artificial intelligence, JARVIS, that Stark relies on to be an effective superhero shuts down, Tony finds himself stranded in Tennessee and he meets Harley. While there is plenty of humor during their conversations, the partnership is another element that is surprising to see in an Iron Man film. Harley lacks a reliable parental figure in his childhood and is ecstatic to see the famous Stark initially. At first, Stark finds himself in an unusual circumstance but that changes once he gets to know Harley. Tony develops an unanticipated affiliation with Harley that is reminiscent from a broad perspective of the association Stark had with Yinsen in the first Iron Man film. The bonds that Stark forms with Yinsen and with Harley are unique because it is uncharacteristic to see Tony in these situations. Besides, Pepper and Rhodes, Stark usually does not bother to develop alliances with others unless conditions present themselves that force Tony to reach out to others for help. The role that Stark plays in Harley's life is another example of the different kind of character that Tony Stark is Iron Man 3.
