1. The Action
Another key aspect of the movie that stepped up a gear from previous MCU instalments was the all-important action scenes. As you would expect, the fight scenes when Tony was wearing his armour were outstanding - particularly when he utilised an army of his armours ('his boys') in the final battle with Killian and his henchmen - but Tony also got his hands dirty outside of his armour, proving himself to be a capable hand-to-hand combatant and action hero without it. The other scenes that stand out for heart-racing action were the attack on Tony's mansion, in which the Mandarin's forces blow it to smithereens with helicopter gunships, and the scene involving the President's aeroplane (Air Force One), in which thirteen passengers are falling to their inevitable deaths following Killian's on-board assault before Iron Man saves the day. Generally speaking, the action was a lot more relentless than in previous Iron Man films and indeed more so than other films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
