3. Getting Into The Iron Man Armor Will Be Quicker And Slicker Than Ever Before
The consequences of Tonys brush with aliens extend far further than sleepless nights. In the latest edition of Empire Magazine, director Shane Black was quoted as saying that Stark is now relying on these suits to feel like hes in any way capable. Tonys armor has gone through numerous upgrades in Iron Man 1 and 2, to the point where he was able to become Iron Man in a matter of seconds (and in mid-air) in The Avengers. The Extremis virus (which Tony will definitely take at some point in the film) allows Stark to interface with his armor(s), and the new trailer gives us a glimpse of Tony assembling his armor one piece at a time. Also teased is a scene where Tony leaps off a building into his waiting Iron Man armor, with the transformation complete in only 2 seconds. Stark may have been right when he asserted that it would take most countries 5-10 years to manufacture a suit to match his own If you momentarily thought that was the big money shot of the trailer, or that the series would stick to its trend of 2-3 new suit designs per movie, you would be wrong on both counts
