Is It Time To Remake The Party?

Final Analysis It wouldn€™t be all that hard to update The Party for a modern audience, since its period trappings and even exact character traits are all surface rather than substance. There is certainly potential for correcting some of the mistakes of the original, at least in terms of any cultural insensitivity. But this could all be in vain if the remake is given to someone who doesn€™t get farce or loves The Hangover too much, because then the result will be so unfunny and generic that you needn€™t have bothered.Remake Risk Level: Medium. You can change the exact story and characters without offending the fans, but get the farce wrong and you€™ll be left with one hell of a hangover.
