Is Jennifer Garner a Ghost of McConaughey's past, present or future?

Movie is a new take on A Christmas Carol but instead of the title character visiting three ghosts who tell him to change his ways, it's three girlfriends, one he probably hasn't even met yet!

A Christmas Carol has probably been told more times than Dracula but over the course of the next couple of years, studio's are still using the basic concept for at least two movies. One of which is Robert Zemeckis'A Christmas Carol which should be a straight forward adaptation done in a motion capture style, with Jim Carrey playing the ghosts of the past, present and future aswell as the title character of Ebenezer Scrooge. The other is New Line's production, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past which see's Matthew McConaughey as the surrogate Scrooge character but apart from it being a moral journey through his life at Christmas, it's a journey through his past, present and future of womanizing. That's a pretty neat idea and one that Ben Affleck had setup to star in back in 2003 until Gigli's failure put the movie on indefinite hold at Disney, where they eventually let their option go on the movie. Variety say Jennifer Garner has joined the cast but it's not known which girlfriend she will play. Shooting begins in January from Mean Girls and Just Like Heaven director Mark Waters. So if you cast Garner as one of the girlfriends, then you have to keep that ante going with the rest. They need to be three girlfriends of equal star stature I think. Cameron Diaz would seem to be a shoe-in for this type of movie but her schedule does seem pretty full right now. McConaughey and Garner? Can't see the chemistry myself.
