Borat" type movie
Bruno in Los Angeles right now. The reason Cohen of course has to shoot the movie in secret is because the worldwide success of Borat has meant he is instantly recognizable now to the average joe in the street who understandably will be desperate to avoid him. I was at the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles today for a luncheon hosted by the Foreign Trade Association, and lo and behold, Sacha is there as our favorite gay Austrian Bruno!!! His get up is a little different than it was on the Ali G show. No mohawk with blond highlights, no tight t-shirt. He's dressed in leather pants, black vest and a black t-shirt. The hair is kinduva flock of seagulls/sad boy from the cure look - rusty brown hair mopped over to one side and the tips are a frosty blonde.
I've only in the last week or so caught up with seeing Borat. Yeah, I liked it quite a bit but of course as everyone knows the humour relies not just on Cohen, but the reactions the general public has to his characters. The more success and fame he gains, the harder it's going to be for him to keep it up.
