Jaime King will be your BLOODY VALENTINE IN 3-D next January!

Because we all prefer our Valentine's to be in 3D!

Lionsgate are remaking a relatively unknown 1981 slasher movie titled My Bloody Valentine and have secured the usual "straight to video" director Patrick Lussier (White Noise 2, Dracula 2000) to helm and Sin City actress Jaime King to star. The Hollywood Reporter say the remake will have 3D added to the title. Jeez!

The movie is about a murderer who kills those who celebrate Valentine's Day.
She will play Sarah Palmer, a woman who has married her teenage sweetheart's nemesis, and the pair have a child together. When she and her first love are reunited, it becomes clear that she still carries a torch for the man.
The original is not a movie I've ever seen but when they are throwing around the gimmick of 3D in the title you know that you maybe should avoid the feature. The screenplay comes from newcomer Zane Smith & Jason Xwriter Todd Farmer and will begin production in May for a release next January. Aren't slasher films so 80's, and late 90's? Do we even care about them now? Will this even make it to the theatre anyway... if not the 3D gimmick is rather pointless.
