James Bond: 10 Most Deadly Bond Girls

7. Fiona Volpe - Luciana Paluzzi - Thunderball

Fiona Volpe One of SPECTRE's deadliest assassins, Fiona Volpe was cunning, seductive and highly dangerous, becoming the mistress of a NATO pilot in order to steal a Vulcan bomber and the two atomic bombs that it carries, before organising the pilot's murder and personally killing her co-conspirator, Count Lippe, by destroying his car with her BSA motorcycle's missile launcher due to his choice of greedy hitman for the pilot's murder. Volpe first meets Bond when he is hitchhiking and she picks him up, before surprising him with her incredibly fast driving skills. Upon arrival at their hotel she attempts to interrogate Paula Caplan before Bond can speak to her, leading to Caplan's suicide. Bond then finds Volpe in his bathtub before the two of them make love, but when he makes to leave he is blocked by Vargas and Janni, two more SPECTRE assassins, and Volpe pulls a gunon him, belittling his ego and taking him captive. Bond eventually escapes and tries to hide from Volpe and her men in a crowd of dancers at the Kiss Kiss Club, although Volpe soon notices him and cuts in on his dance, although she is soon killed when Bond moves her into the path of another assassin's bullet that is meant for him. Although her death comes seemingly easy for Bond, she is in fact the first woman to be killed by Bond in the film series, something that proves how much of a threat her perceived her to be. Add to that her despicable actions up until this point and audiences are left with no doubt that Fiona Volpe is an incredibly deadly villain.
