4. He Was a More Human Bond

In the scenes with Rigg, Lazenby shows the audience a more vulnerable and human Bond then we had gotten with Sean Connery, who, by the time 1966's You Only Live Twice came out, had turned in to a superman and lost a lot of his humanity. Due to Lazenby's unpolished nature as an actor, his performance feels more human, closer to Ian Fleming's original creation. Unfortunately, once Lazenby quit, the series got more outlandish throughout the 70s, leading to Bond going to space in Moonraker (1979). The series could've avoided the goofier and campier elements of the franchise if the producers had built on the end of On Her Majesty's Secret Service- and with Lazenby portraying Bond as a real human being, we could've had a good string of character based Bond films. Which brings us to this point....
