James Bond: 5 Reasons George Lazenby Deserved More Movies As 007

1. He Was Young Enough to Play Bond For a While

When casting Bond, the producers have given the role to men who have a few years on them. Bond needs a certain maturity and gruffness. Even Timothy Dalton, to whom, even before Lazenby, Broccoli offered the role after Connery retired, has said he felt that, at 25, he was too young to play Bond. Still, having an actor start too late in the role can lead to him becoming too old for the part. Lazenby stands on record as the youngest actor, at 30 to play the role. If Lazenby had stayed on longer, he was young enough to play the role for several more years without being seen as too old for the part- and he would've eventually aged comfortably in to the role as well. Thinking about it, if Lazenby played the role all the way until 1985, which was when Roger Moore retired, he would've been the same age as when Moore started in the role, in 1973's Live and Let Die
