James Bond Films: Ranking Best To Worst

15. Thunderball

So this is where we get into really enjoyable Bond film territory. It€™s not Connery€™s best, but it is perhaps his most fun- more fun than Goldfinger and Dr. No, even if it is not as good. It has all the elements of a classic bond film- beautiful woman, sharks (!), a confident Bond and an exotic locale. What really makes this one stand out are the women- though not of the same calibre as Honey Ryder or Pussy Galore, Fiona Volpe and Domino are fine additions and actually very interesting characters. Emilio Largo is a compelling villain and clearly enjoying hamming it up. So whilst this is not the type of Bond I usually enjoy, like so many other entries I can sit down and just have a great couple of hours€™ entertainment.
